Havaianas x Hypebeast Brings Brazilian Football Culture to Los Angeles.
As the 2026 FIFA World Cup brought football fever across the U.S., Havaianas and Hypebeast brought the energy of Brazil to Los Angeles with an evening celebrating football, Brazilian culture, and the brand’s latest collection.
Held at Ka’teen on June 18, the event came just ahead of Brazil’s World Cup match and brought Brazilian-inspired food, drinks, music, and fashion together for an immersive evening. With Los Angeles already buzzing with World Cup energy, the event brought fellow creatives and guests together while keeping football at the center of the experience.
This wasn’t just a watch party. The DJ kept the energy up throughout the evening, adding to the atmosphere as guests enjoyed the food, drinks, and Brazilian-inspired setting.
One of my favorite parts of the evening was the Havaianas customization experience. Guests could personalize their sandals with different charms and details, giving the Havaianas Top Nations Collection a more personal touch. I liked being able to make the pair feel like my own rather than simply choosing a design off the shelf.
The collection also felt especially fitting for the moment. Havaianas brought its Brazilian roots into the global culture surrounding the World Cup, connecting football, fashion, and personal style in a way that felt natural.
For me, the customization was a highlight, but the bigger takeaway was seeing Havaianas bring a piece of Brazilian culture to Los Angeles during one of the world's biggest sporting events. Football may be played on the field, but the culture surrounding it extends well beyond the game.
Special thanks to Zack and The Bollare team for having me.
