Hello Quarantinees

I’d always complain that I didn’t have enough time to make myself breakfast since I was always on the go but since we‘ve been in quarantine I’ve had than enough time to become an overnight chef haha.

It’s been really fun creating different recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’ve also picked up my workout regimen usually after workouts I’m craving a smoothie so I’m sharing with you five of my favorite smoothies.

Strawberry and Banana Smoothie

This is my favorite smoothie to make.

Usually when I making smoothies I never use exact measurements I just go based off of what I like when it comes to taste but also liquid consistency.

Strawberries fresh or frozen

Bananas fresh or frozen

Peanut or Almond butter (optional)

Milk of your choice, I used almond.

Granola (optional)

CARROT CAKE SMOOTHIE

I had plenty of carrots and wanted to make use of them. I borrowed Joy Schull’s Recipe that I’ve been using for a few months now. It’s pretty sweet and definitely taste like a Carrot Cake!

  • Raw, whole carrots

  • frozen bananas

  • milk

  • plain 0% greek yogurt

  • cinnamon

  • nutmeg

  • pure maple syrup (to sweeten)

  • ice

Kale and Spinach Smoothie

I tend to drink plenty of fruit based smoothies which for some people is just too much sugar. I decided to mix things up and go green especially since I had lots of spinach and kale that was going bad soon so why not make use of it?

Spinach and kale are both rich in iron, Vitamin K and Vitamin A.

  • Kale

  • Spinach

  • Spirulina (optional)

  • Milk of your choice, I used almond

  • Ice

Blueberry and Banana Smoothie

This is another favorite of mine.

It’s quick and easy and only two main ingredients. This smoothie is a great source for fiber and antioxidants

  • Blueberries fresh or frozen

  • Banana fresh or frozen

  • Almond milk

BLUEBERRY KALE SMOOTHIE

I wanted to add some greens to my diet because that’s something I usually lack so why not get more vitamin C from the Kale so here’s to me tricking myself into having my greens.

  • Milk of your choice, I used almond

  • Fresh or frozen blueberries

  • Plain Greek yogurt

  • Kale, I actually used a mix of the two.

  • Banana fresh or frozen

All of these smoothies you can switch around the ingredients but also add things like protein powder.
